Our team is committed to inclusive support for all gender equality concerns. To ensure individual needs are met, we’ve designated specific contacts for particular matters, requiring tailored support.

All members of the gender equality team are available for general questions and concerns. In addition, each team member focuses on specific areas. Beyond offering advice on career development, work-life balance, caregiving responsibilities, and support for individuals with a migration background, our responsibilities at the faculty include:
- Advising and supporting female students and staff
- Advising and supporting male students and staff on gender equality topics
- Representing the interests of female students, staff, and faculty members
- Providing guidance to the Faculty Council
- Supporting appointment committees
- Developing and implementing the Faculty’s Gender Equality Plan
- Initiating and implementation of further measures and projects to promote women
At the faculty level, Gender Equality Officers perform duties equivalent to those of the Senate’s Gender Equality Officer, as defined by §72 (5) of the Higher Education Act. In addition to their roles on faculty committees, they participate in appointment procedures. Several projects initiated by the faculty’s Gender Equality Officers have been supported through incentive funding. Their work is carried out on a voluntary basis.

The Diversity team at Faculty 07 is committed to supporting JGU’s goal of promoting equal opportunities while minimizing discrimination and exclusion. Regardless of age, gender, social background, origin, religion, sexual identity and orientation, physical abilities, or life circumstances, all members of the university should have the best possible access to its processes, structures, and resources.
In line with this mission, we offer advising and support on all topics related to equal opportunity to members of Faculty 07. We serve as a point of contact for matters related to equity and discrimination. In addition to providing information on funding programs and further support services, we strive to foster and sustain a culture of mutual respect. Where needed, we identify and initiate appropriate measures to help achieve this goal.
